ESNM:58th CEE Course, Debrecín, April 24-26, 2015

ESNM CEE Courses in CEE Countries are held since 1995 three times per year. They are the “outreach programme” of ESNM to bring education to Central and Eastern Europe. As of 2014 the ESNM CEE Courses will cover two half days with each a lecture à 3 hours for Physicians and one full day with 2 lectures à 3 hours for Physicians. One full day with 2 lectures à 3 hours for Physicists and one full day with 2 lectures à 3 hours for Technologists. Local Technologists will hold the Technologist sessions in the mother tongue of the hosting country the presentations will be provided by Claudiu Pestean the ESNM Educational Representative of the Technologists Committee

The main goal of this intensive three-day course is to bring up to date education to Central Eastern Europe.

Friday April 24, sessions for Physicians:
13:00-17:00: Brian Hutton - SPECT reconstruction for myocardial and brain perfusion studies.

Saturday, April 25 sessions for Physicians:
09:00-12:30: Silvia Daniela Morbelli – Neurological applications of SPECT and PET
13:30-17:00: practical studies at the University of Debrecen
                    - Attila Forgacs (chief physicist) - Acquisition: phantom measurement
                    - Jozsef Varga - Image processing: computer analysis
                    - Brian Hutton - Reconstruction: interactive session
                    - Ildikó Garai - Case studies: lecture

Sunday, April 26, sessions for Physicians:
09:00-13:30: Hein Verberne - Nuclear Cardiology

Saturday, April 25 sessions for Technologists:
The sessions for the Technologists will be held by a local instructor, the presentations have been provided by Andrea Santos, Paula Sofia Colarinha, Teresa Martins Lúcio, Vanessa Veloso Jerónimo, Pedro F. Costa, Borut Vidovič, Daša Šfiligoj and Claudiu Pestean the ESNM Educational Representative of the Technologists Committee.

09:00-17:00: 99mTc milestones in Radiopharmacy, Radiation protection aspects in nuclear medicine departments, PET/CT principles and methodology, Pitfalls in FDG PET-CT

Information on application
for the 58th CEE Course

  • Only persons from Central and Eastern Europe can attend this Course.
  • The registration fee for Techs and Physicists is EURO 15,-
  • The registration fee for Physicians is EURO 30,-

  • ESNM pays accommodation in shared double rooms for Physicians from April 24 until April 26.
  • ESNM pays accommodation in shared double rooms for Technologists and Physicists from April 25 until April 26.

  • Registration fees include participation at the Course, accommodation in shared double room’s incl. breakfast. Coffee breaks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lunch on Saturday, joint dinner on Saturday and hand-outs.
  • Registrations are accepted on the first come first served basis
  • Registrations need to be paid in advance by credit card, only Visa and Master Card are accepted (via the PDF registration form, provided on the website)
  • It is NOT possible to pay extra for a single room and it is NOT possible to share the room with wife/husband, who is not an accepted participant of the Course. No extra nights will be paid by the ESNM.
